1902 Certificate of Promotion for Minnie Eley
Description
Neat 107 year old (Winfield, Kansas, May 16, 1902) Certificate of Promotion from Winfield Public School for Minnie Eley stating that she “has done creditable work, passed the required examinations, and is promoted to the Senior Year Grade of the High School Department.” She had no “conditions.” It also does go on to state that “This card must be presented within four weeks after the opening of next school year in order to be valid.” I wonder what happened if you lost your card? Can’t imagine this school was too large, but seem to be mighty serious… This was signed by S.C. Bloss, Principal. Size is approx 5,5 inches by 3.25 inches. Shipping and handling will be an additional $3. Paypal, money order and personal check happily accepted. If you purchase this heirloom, I ask that you allow me the privilege to leave this posted in the Show-and-Tell posting section (not-4-sale) for others to reference and enjoy. Thank you very much! Mike
