Very old handwritten sales receipt. Receipt generally reads as follows: Hingham Jan 1, 1787. Receipt of Mr. Joseph Cushing (Cufhing) five dollars in full for a piece of land by his house containing two rods more or less. Bounded Westerly by … highway. Northerly with his wood yard and garden. Easterly and Southerly on my own land. I say received by me David Andrews. Paper was folded but still feels rather thick. Size is approx 3 inches by 7.25 inches.
